David Agnew
President
Seneca College
David Agnew was appointed President of Seneca College in 2009. Prior to his appointment, he was the head of the Ombudsman for Banking and Investment Services, the national dispute resolution service for consumers and 650 financial services firms. Mr. Agnew has a distinguished career in the private, public and non‐profit sectors. He has been the President and CEO of UNICEF Canada, a principal at strategy consulting firm Digital 4Sight and Executive Vice‐President at Credit Union Central of Ontario. From 1992 to 1995 Mr. Agnew was the Secretary of Cabinet in the Government of Ontario, an appointment which came after more than a decade in campaign and political work including the chief of staff to the Ontario premier. He was seconded to the University of Toronto in 1995‐96 and was a Senior Resident at Massey College. He began his working life as a reporter, working in St. John’s, Ottawa, Toronto and Edmonton. Mr. Agnew is active in community affairs, including serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
