Charles S. Coffey, O.C.
Charles Coffey started his 44‐year career with RBC Financial Group in Woodstock, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, he was the bank’s Executive Vice President of Government Affairs and Community Development. Mr. Coffey also headed business banking in Canada for five years and led three regional headquarters: Manitoba, Metro Toronto and Ontario. His extensive contributions to community service and proven record and reputation in the private, public and not‐for‐profit sectors have granted him several appointments and special honours. The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs named Mr. Coffey a Honourary Chief for his support of First Nations, economic development and self‐sufficiency. He is a recipient of the Award of Distinction from the Public Affairs Association of Canada and of the Humanitarian Award for Community Service from Yorktown Family Services (Toronto), among others. Mr. Coffey is an Officer of the Order of Canada.
